ICICI Pure Protect has two variants, the ICICI Pure Protect Classic and the ICICI Pure Protect Elite.  According to the Pure Protect Classic, you are eligible to receive a sum assured of up to rupees twenty five lakhs at the time of maturity. 

The Pure Protect Elite gives one the eligibility to receive a sum assured of more than rupees twenty five lakhs.

You have the advantage of having the death benefit which states that if the life insured dies during the policy term, his beneficiary will surely obtain the sum assured.

This plan does not provide any kind of maturity benefits. There are extra benefits available under this policy.  You can obtain their benefits by opting for them and paying an additional cost.

The benefits are simple but beneficial
By the Accidental Death and Disability Benefit Rider, if the life insured dies in an accident, his nominee will receive the additional sum assured.  If the life insured dies while traveling by a cab or train or bus, then the nominee will receive double the sum assured. 

If the life insured is permanently and totally disabled due to an accident, one is eligible to receive for duration of ten years, ten percent of the sum assured every year.

If you have opted for the premium waiver benefit and if you are permanently and totally disabled, you are not required to pay your remaining premiums.  It will be looked after by the company.
