Max New York Life Insurance started its commercial operation in the country in 2001 and has 133 offices spread in different parts of the country. The company came into existence as a result of coming together of New York Life International and Max India limited.

 It is the first Life Insurance Company which has been awarded the ISO 9001:2000 certification. The company’s paid capital on 30th April, 2009 has been Rs.1782 Crore where it has adopted financial practices which ensure safety to the policy holder’s deposit.

Currently there are around 92,667 agent advisers employed at 712 offices across 389 cities in India.
